Lyli Association is a non-profit organisation founded in 2013 by Robert and Alexa, 2 French nationals passionate about Southeast Asia and Koay, a Cambodian wishing to help the children of his village.
Lyli Association aims to provide a space for kids to learn English and get tutorials in Khmer, as well as access to books, computers with Internet, games and much more. The project isn’t designed to replace the current school system, but rather it is a place for them to meet, learn, play and develop! Entry to Lyli School is free and without any conditions; only the teachers are paid.
Lyli School is build on land where Koay’s grandmother’s house is located, 30 minutes from the Siem Reap town centre. In addition to classrooms, Lyli Association has also built toilet blocks and two bungalows: one for Koay’s family and one for volunteer staff.
With this project, Lyli Association wishes to see the kids flourish in a space they can feel free to dream and then find a way to make those dreams come true!
